FSEconomy is governed by a 7-seat Board of Directors (BoD).  These individuals set and enforce the rules of FSE, determine development initiatives, and manage various aspects of the day-to-day operation and game play of the FSEconomy Game World.  The Board of Directors was appointed by the game's designer, Marty Bochane, in 2006, about one year after the game was opened up to the public.  Each Board member oversees and manages a specific section of the FSE Game World, some with the help of a sub-committee of volunteers. Each sitting Board member is a voting member on major decision points for FSEconomy.

In addition to the BoD, several aspects of FSEconomy are implemented by a staff of dozens of volunteers, each led by a member of the Board.  All members of the team, BoD and Staff, are volunteers. There is no compensation for their work, and they do this in their free time.  ALL BoD and Staff members are FSE pilots, too.

Below are the current Board positions and functions, the sitting Board members, and a list of any volunteer Staff member assisting with those functions.

There are many ways for all FSE members to contribute to the FSE experience.  The FSE Support Forums is a member-helping-member solution.  If you see someone asking for support, and you know the answer, jump in and provide a solution.  If you see questions being repeated over and over, submit a Question and Answer to the FAQ.  If you see outdated, unclear, or incorrect material in the FSE User Manual, please point it out (hopefully with the solution to go with it!).
