After nearly a year in development and months of testing, the new XFSE 1.0 X-Plane Client is ready for official release. This client has been redesigned from the ground up. The new XFSE is a stand-alone application, no longer relying on the outdated Python plugin. Instead, it uses NASA's XPlaneConnect Plugin to communicate with the simulator.

XFSE is compatible with all currently-available X-Plane versions, 9.5 or newer.

XFSE 1.0 is available for download from the standard FSE User Manual location. There are four downloadable archive files, depending on your Operating System:

 • Windows 7 (or newer)
 • MacOS 10.15 (or newer)
 • Ubuntu-based Linux Distributions
 • Arch-based Linux Distributions

Download and extract the OS-appropriate file. There is a full-blown PDF user manual contained in the archive.

We highly recommend reading this manual before using the application, particularly the chapters on aircraft aliasing and fuel tank configuration - in these areas the new client has changed most significantly vs. the legacy client.

FSE would like to thank FSE Member daemotron for developing this client, and the many alpha/beta testers for all of their work to bring XFSE 1.0 to life.
